Labs and Centers

Our Anthropology & Geography Labs

In our labs, students receive training in research methods and opportunities to engage in faculty-directed research.

Depending on the lab, independent studies may be available in the areas of collection management and research. Contact individual lab directors to request information about independent study and volunteer prospects.

Anthropology students at CSU are encouraged to engage in research early. Faculty-supervised student research projects and independent studies may concern lab management (museum curation, material processing, specimen preparation) or lab research (research design, methods, assessment, publication).
