Biography

My name is Elaine Henson and I am a first year masters student under Dr. La Belle studying archeology! This summer I got to go to Rocky Mountain National Park with a small crew to do land survey of a few sites dating back to prehistoric times. We documented and mapped artifacts which was incredibly fascinating. In the future I hope to learn about museum studies including curation and cataloging artifacts.

During my undergrad, I worked with coprolites (preserved feces) and botanical databases to identify what people of the Paisley caves site in Oregon ate and what the environment would have looked like 4,000 years ago. I am super exited to continue my education here at Colorado State and pursue a career in archeology!
