Peopling of the Americas: What are scientists debating?

Abstract: When and how humans first arrived in the Americas has been a hotly debated topic since the 1960s. Today, there is increasing evidence from different approaches (from earth sciences to humanities) on this topic, which promotes the current debate: did humans arrive in North and South America before previously thought? By what routes? Was there more than one wave of human migration? It is essential that archaeologists and paleontologists communicate with each other and with other scientists studying this topic from different perspectives so that we can better understand this fascinating beginning of American prehistory.
