IV. Agreements

Program Duration and Credit*

I understand that this will be a 6-week, 6-credit field class (ANTH 460 or ANTH 660).

Pre-Session*

I understand that a 1-week, 2-credit pre-session (ANTH 260) is required before ANTH 460 (this will be the first week of the field school)

Responsibility*

I understand that as part of the field school, I will act ethically and responsibly in all aspects of my work, including colleting field data to the best of my ability

Costs and Fees (See Estimated Costs below)*

I understand that in addition to the tuition and course fees, there is also a special course fee for the 6-hours ANTH 460/660 class

Schedule*

I understand that the specific schedule for fieldwork and the sites to be studied is tentative

COVID Protocols*

I understand that we may at times have to wear masks and undergo specific protocols related to COVID-19 during program

Field Conditions*

I understand that we will be potentially camping, living, and working under primitive and sometime severe field conditions (if possible, this will be for the last two weeks of the field school)

Meal Prep/ Camp Maintenance*

I understand that as part of the field school, I will share responsibility for preparation of meals, camp clean-up, and general field camp maintenance activities (last two weeks of field school)

Estimated Costs: 2024 Archaeology Field School

Field school costs will include undergraduate tuition and course fees for 8 credits; Archaeology Field School fee (to help cover equipment, food, vehicles, etc.); and costs of personal field equipment including tape measure, trowel, sleeping bag, etc. Specific costs and details will be shared with students accepted into the program
