Madison Brandt

Woman cooking with a pot

As part of her senior Honors thesis, Dr. Snodgrass’ Colorado State University Honors Program student, Madison Brandt, has created and self-published an ethnographic cookbook.

For this book, Madison cooked with and interviewed the people and chefs of Fort Collins (both professional and non-professional) to document their food, recipes, lives, communities, and culture. The book really captures something distinctive about Fort Collins and its food culture, and has a lot of tasty recipes.

To find out more about Madison’s work, and to gain some insights into the dimensions of her research, visit her website: http://fococommunitycookbook.weebly.com/

All proceeds from book sales go to Friends of Happy Heart Farm, a non-profit working with Happy Heart Farm CSA providing free farm shares to about 35 low-income families in Fort Collins each year.
