Jessica Jackson, a 2011 graduate, recently accepted a position as the Professional Volunteer Programs Coordinator at United Way of Larimer County.
Jessica is managing a number of programs for UWLC which include the Business Cares program, Volunteer Project Leaders program, Board Bank, as well as assisting with a number of volunteer events for Generation United.
Business Cares is a service that United Way provides to local companies in order to help implement and develop strategic community outreach and business citizenship programs that generate positive, measurable benefits for business bottom-line as well as for the community. Business Cares benefits include: consulting; staff training and development; employee management and engagement; measurement, evaluation, and research; and community recognition.
The Volunteer Project leaders are volunteers from companies who partner with local non profits to coordinate large volunteer events for the nonprofit organizations. The Volunteer Project leaders are currently working on coordinating projects for Make a Difference Day.
Through the Board Bank program, Jessica works to recruit and train community professionals to serve as board and committee members for nonprofit organizations. The Board Bank program matches volunteer interests with a variety of board opportunities and assist in matching volunteers with the needs of local non profits
Generation United, a Young Leaders Society, is a group made up of young professionals under the age of 40 who are committed to making a difference through philanthropy and volunteerism. The mission for Generation United is to increase graduation rates in Larimer County and empower the next generation through the leadership of passionate young professionals in Larimer County who actively give, advocate and volunteer. Jessica helps to coordinate volunteers for Generation United.
