I am a first year master's student in the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology, but I am housed in Geography/Anthropology. My research involves the role of land tenure systems in determining land use and land cover change in the buffer zones of protected areas in Madagascar. I use remote sensing and rural appraisal techniques to examine this relationship. My advisor is Dr. Stephen Leisz
